Significant conditions

  1. The following terms & conditions apply to this promotion (the “Promotion”). Participation in this Promotion shall constitute your complete acceptance of the Terms below.
  2. This Promotion is only available to customers registered in the UK and Ireland with an online account held in pound sterling or euro, accessing services via our website or mobile apps.
  3. The provider of this Promotion is Playtech Software Limited, Mid City Place, 71 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6EA (the “Provider”).
  4. The promotion will run from 11:00:01 (UK time) on Tuesday 7th January 2025 until 23:59:59 (UK time) on Thursday 18th December 2025 (the “Promotion Period”).
  5. Under this Promotion, a total of 100 Live Trivia games (each a “Game”, together the “Games”). One Game will take place every Tuesday and every Thursday at 22:00 (UK Time) until the end of the Promotion Period.
  6. During the Promotion Period the total prize pool is $300,000. Players will have a chance to win a share of $3,000 in cash each Game.
  7. The Game is free to participate in and does not require any funds in the player’s account.
  8. Players can join a Game and participate for the entire duration of the relevant Game - even if the Game has reached its last question.
  9. Prior to the beginning of each Game the host shall communicate to the players basic rules of the Game.
  10. Each Game length duration is approximately 15 minutes.
  11. All prizes will be funded by the Provider and distributed evenly between all the winners of the relevant Game.
  12. Players who are eligible for the prize will receive a personalized message via a pop-up animation after the end of the Game. This message / animation will display the amount such player has won.
  13. The winning players’ respective share of the prize will be automatically credited to that player’s main account balance within 72 hours of winning.
  14.  All prizes will appear in USD. The winning players will be paid their share of the prize according to the currency of their account in accordance with the exchange rate applicable on the day of payment. William Hill and The Provider bears no responsibility for any exchange rates or conversion rates.  
  15. In the event that a winning player’s account is deemed to be ineligible (for example found to be under age, or invalid id or verification), the Provider and/or William Hill reserves the right to withhold payment of the prize and, if necessary award the prize to an alternate entrant.
  16. If an act, omission, event, or circumstance occurs, which is beyond the reasonable control of the Provider, and which prevents the Provider from complying with these terms and conditions, the Provider will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  17. This Game is available to multiple sites across multiple operators and therefore winners may be selected across multiple sites.
  18. The Provider and William Hill reserves the right to amend or cancel this Game or amend these terms and conditions without notice if the change or cancellation is a result of any legal or regulatory change.

Game Structure:

  1. The Game is a live game show with a prize that is hosted live by a presenter broadcasting in English.
  2. To ensure accessibility for all players, questions and answers shall also appear in the English, Greek, Italian and Spanish languages.
  3. Each Game consists of a series of 10 multiple-choice questions/statements, each with two possible answers – true or false. The Game is not a game of chance.
  4. Questions are presented one at a time to all players with approximately 30-second pause between each question. The questions and the order of the questions for each Game are exactly the same for all players.
  5. In each Game, players will need to answer 10 questions within a 10-second time limit (the “Time Limit”) per question.  
  6. Each question that a player answers correctly and within the Time Limit will earn 100 points.
  7. Players who answer a question incorrectly or answers outside of the 10-second time limit will not earn any points for the relevant question.
  8. The answers and questions as well as the sequence in which they appear are provided to the Provider by an independent third-party supplier, Alphabet Media Ltd, (trading as The Question Co) (the “Third Party Supplier”). Neither the Provider nor William Hill bear any responsibility, and shall not be liable, for the outcome of the Game as a result of incorrect answers supplied by the Third-Party Supplier.
  9. Players can track their progress throughout the game via the dropdown menu.
  10. No one is eliminated from the Game at any stage of the Game.
  11. During the Game players may use the chat option to communicate with other players. The host may see the chat and use it to refer to particular queries in his/her sole discretion.

Scoring & Winning:

  1. Players who answer at least 7 out of 10 questions correctly (i.e. score at least 700 points) are the winners of the relevant Game and shall share the $3,000 cash prize which is distributed evenly between all the winners.
  2. The shared prize for each Game will be $3,000 in cash
  3. In the event that none of the players participating in a Game win that particular Game, the prize pool for that Game will roll over and be added to the shared prize pool in the subsequent Game.

How to take part

  1. Launch
    Launch the ‘Big Quiz’ Trivia table before or during a Game.
  2. Play
    Players will have a chance to win a part of a shared prize of $3,000 per Game in cash by answering a series of multiple-choice questions with ‘True’ or ‘False’.
  3. Winners
    If you are a winner, a pop-up animation will appear after the end of the Game. The prize will be automatically credited to your main account balance within 72 hours of winning. If you have not won a share of the cash prize, no pop-up animation will appear.
  4. Prizes
    All prizes will be distributed evenly between the winning players of each Promotion Game.

Terms and conditions

  1. We expect you to be fair when you take part in promotions. We consider certain types of play to be unfair and to break these terms and conditions. These unfair types of play include, without limitation, the following:
    1. using ‘minimal risk wagering patterns’ (that is, a set pattern of bets or stakes that unfairly minimises risks or opposite betting);
    2. sharing personalised promotions (that is, promotions only available to specific customers we offer them to) with others and/or taking part in any personalised promotion forwarded to you by someone else when it was not intended for you;
    3. colluding with other customers (that is, plotting with others to gain an unfair advantage) in relation to the promotion;
    4. taking advantage of broken mechanics and combination of loopholes on the game that leads to abusing the promotion/offer/bonus; and
    5. purchasing all the tickets for a free game; or repeatedly depositing, cashing out and redepositing purely to gain a deposit related bonus.
  2. If you take part in any play that we consider to be unfair, we may cancel any bonuses, offers or promotions applied to your account, reclaim any bonus/offer you have received as part of any promotion we have cancelled, and either:
    1. void any bets funded by a bonus/offer (that is, treat them as if they had never been placed); or
    2. remove any winnings relating to any bonus/offer.
  3. William Hill reserves the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet, stake or similar transaction requested by you: (a) where you have breached these terms and conditions; or (b) at any time in our sole discretion, except that we will not exercise (or seek to enforce) any such restriction if you have already made one or more qualifying bets in respect of the promotion and the exercise of our discretion would affect your ability to:
    1. receive the free bets, or the full expected value of the free bets, from the promotion, where you have placed all the necessary qualifying bets.
    2. place the remaining qualifying bets required by the promotion, and consequently receive the free bets, or the full expected value of the free bets, from the promotion, to which you would be entitled as a result; or
    3. materially affect your ability to complete the qualifying bets required by the promotion.
  4. Regardless of anything else set out in these terms and conditions, you can withdraw funds from your main balance at any time, except where we must withhold the funds to meet our legal or regulatory obligations.
  5. You may not participate in the promotion (and you will not be entitled to receive any free bets) if you have previously been informed by William Hill that you are excluded from participating in promotions or any gaming or wagering on the William Hill website, the William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app or in William Hill shops.
  6. William Hill has the right to refuse or withhold free bets (or any winnings from free bets) in the event of funds you have wagered being cancelled or denied by any payment service.
    1. without giving you notice, if the change or cancellation is needed because of any change in law or regulation; or
    2. by giving you notice beforehand, if the change or cancellation is for any other valid reason (for example, if there is a fault in the software or systems we use to provide this promotion, we identify a mistake in these terms and conditions, or we are discontinuing the Promotion for commercial reasons).
  7. We can also award an equivalent bonus/offer to the one referred to in this promotion.
  8. We will not be responsible for any technical, hardware or software failures, or any unavailable or lost network conditions which may result in incorrect information being displayed, or affect your ability to enter or take part in the promotion. If there is any dispute over your eligibility for the promotion, our decision will be final.

You must read the general terms and conditions, as well as these terms and conditions, before you take part in this promotion. If any of these terms and conditions conflict with the general terms and conditions, these terms and conditions will prevail to that extent.
