Hold'em Poker Showdown is a fixed-odds betting card game, based on Texas Hold'em. The game concentrates on the showdown, where two players reveal their hands and the community cards are dealt to find a winner. In a showdown there are two players the dealer and the opponent, they will both hold 2 cards as their starting hands, 5 cards will then be dealt in the middle of the table, known as community cards. The winner is the player that has the highest poker hand using the best 5-card combination of the 7 cards available to them (their own 2 cards and the 5 community cards).
After selecting your stake and pressing deal the dealer's starting hand will be shown along with a choice of 4 different opponent starting hands. You can only choose to bet on the outcome of a showdown involving the dealer's hand and one of the opponent's hands. For each of the 4 choices of opponent's hands, you may bet on the opponent's hand winning the showdown against the dealer's hand or vice versa, so there are 8 betting options in total. When you select to bet the three discarded starting hands will be shuffled into the pack. This means that cards in unselected starting hands can still come out in the flop, turn or river.
The 5 community cards are then dealt in the centre of the table and the winning poker hand (the highest ranking hand) is highlighted in the results panel at the top. If you correctly selected the winner then you can choose to bet again with all your winnings, bank half and continue or bank all of your winnings and start again.
In the event that both players have the same hands, constituting cards of the same ranks but possibly different suits, then the result is a draw and your stake will be returned in full.
Ace (A), king (K), queen (Q), jack (J), 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2

Royal Flush |
A, K, Q, J and 10 of the same suit. |
This is the highest hand in the game and so if both players get this it is a draw |

5 non-consecutive cards of the same suit. |
If both players have a flush then it goes down to who has the highest card (or 2nd highest card if both have same highest, then 3rd highest if still the same etc). |
|
Straight |
5 consecutive cards of different suits. A straight can go 10,J,Q,K,A and A,2,3,4,5 but cannot loop around, so those are the only two straights that can contain an Ace. |
The player with the highest ranked straight wins. 10,J,Q,K,A is the highest possible Straight and A,2,3,4,5 is the lowest |
|
Three of a Kind |

|
Two Pair |
2 cards of the same rank + 2 cards of the same rank + a kicker. |
The player with the highest ranked pair wins. If both players have the same highest pair then it goes to the other pair. If that is also the same then the winner is the player with the highest ranked kicker. |
|
