Virtual Dogs gives you the excitement of a night at the dogs whenever you want. The greyhound racing might be virtual, but the money you can win is definitely real.

Virtual Dogs is a fixed-odds game based on greyhound racing. The game lets you bet on six-dog and eight-dog races and watch them in high-quality animation. There are 42 different bets available on the six-dog race and 72 for the eight-dog race.

Dogs Glossary

Trap: the trap or lane that the dog will run in. The same odds are fixed for each race, meaning trap 1 will always be more likely to win and as a result will have the shortest odds, the higher the trap number the less likely it is to win but the longer the odds.

To Win: A win bet is simply predicting which dog will pass the finishing line first.

Place: A place bet is available to the right of the win bet column, the odds are displayed if you place your cursor over the box. In a six-dog race you will get paid out on two places, in an eight-dog race you will get paid out on three places.

Forecast: A forecast bet is where one predicts the outcome of 1st and 2nd in the correct order. The forecast bets are displayed at the bottom half of the screen and are shown in the following format; 3X2 17/1 etc... so 3X2 indicates that you predict trap 3 will come first and trap 2 will come second.

 

Game Rules

  1. Cash in
  2. Choose the type of race select '8 Dog Race' or remain on the '6 Dog Race' betting screen
  3. Choose your stake (chip size)
  4. Place chips on one or more of the bet options on the screen
  5. Select either 'Bet Now' for a single game or first choose 'Auto-Bet' to select up to 10 games
  6. Wait for the result
  7. If you have predicted the correct result then you are a winner!

Repeat Bet

Click on the repeat bet button to replicate your previous bets and stake.

Turbo Bet

By selecting 'On' animations will not be shown so the final photo finish result is reached far quicker than normal.

Auto-Bet

By selecting "Auto bet" you can choose to place 1,2,5 or 10 bets automatically one after the other. Make your selections and set your stake as normal then select the number of auto-bets to do before clicking the bet now button.

After showing the result any winnings will be collected and the next bet will automatically start (using the same selections as before). This will continue until the specified number of bets has been completed or you have insufficient credits to place the next bet.

You can stop the auto-bet from continuing onto the next bet by clicking the "Stop Auto-Bet" button.

Clearing Bets

To undo the last bet you placed simply click the "Clear Last Bet" button. To clear a different bet instead (not the previous bet) hold down the shift button on your keyboard and click on the bet you want to remove. The last amount added to that bet will then be removed.

To remove all of the chips that have been placed click the "Clear All Bets" button.

Added Features

Click on "Options" for additional features including:

  • Animation: by selecting 'Off', ' the animations will not be shown fully. (This is the same as turning Turbo Bet on)
  • Sound: by selecting 'Off', no sounds will be played throughout the game.
  • How to Bet Demo: is an animated guide to the game
  • Betting History: provides a summary and a 'more' button displaying the full details of all bets placed during each session.
  • Decimal Odds: selecting this option displays the odds in decimals instead of fractions. Selecting it again changes the odds back to fractions
